What we aim to achieve

With Government statistics indicating an alarming rise in obesity throughout the UK among children, it is important for Community Sports Vision to encourage children to stay active and engage in physical activities. Fitness is one of the key benefits of getting young people involved in fun sporting activities.

According to health organizations, there is a growing trend of moral decadence among the youth especially for those living in deprived areas which is leading to very promising lives being ruined due to drugs for instance. Engaging in sports is a good way of passing free time thereby helping in the reduction of crime rates in the community.

What we have on offer

Currently our main offers are

  • Football
  • Fitness and Exercise
  • Tennis
  • Hockey
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball

Our community sports hub takes place at the Belle Vue Sports Village on Kirkmanshulme Lane in Manchester. We work with children and the youth linking communities, local sports structures schools, and academies with our activities.

We educate our youth on good sportsmanship and by doing this, we cover the 5C’s model of positive youth development (Competence, Confidence, Connection, Character, and Caring). We are of the view that by optimizing young people’s development through sports, we will be able to avoid negative outcomes like drug use and delinquency. We therefore foster strengths that help youth thrive.

Our next project is female football which aims at encouraging and increasing female inclusion for sports. This is also in support of the strategy created by the FA towards a sustainable future for women and girls’ football in England.

We will also branch into care homes to enable working with the aged who otherwise normally face inactivity and isolation.

Weekly Training sessions: The community benefits from football as it is the most popular sports in the area and globally. Providing a Community Hub for football gives the opportunity of forging friendships, building self-confidence, improving social skills, building parent and child bond and positive self-esteem development. We offer feedback which helps with uplifting the children and the youth and inspiring those who are looking to build their sports careers.

Fixtured games: These organised games develop and identify talents whilst improving tactical, technical, and physical abilities of our participants. It provides structure and routine which helps curb social ills.
